Sushi Chef

Your main responsibilities

  • Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to the established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
  • Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes and informing the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard
  • Communicating with wait staff to ensure that special requests and food allergies considerations are met
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  • Keep a sanitized and a tidy utensils, instruments, and equipment.
  • Keep a high standard of professional and personal hygiene and appearance (grooming standards, clean uniform, body odors)
  • To handle all requests and questions in a professional and positive manner. To communicate with Sous Chef regarding all aspects work related and to keep him/her updated of any problem or irregularity that may arise.
  • To train new co-workers


Your main qualifications/sikills

  • Relevant experience as a Sushi Chef or with similar duties
  • Expertly cutting, slicing and filleting different types of fish
  • Fluency in English
  • Culinary Degree or related major would be a plus
