The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown Hotel is located in the Wilshire Grand building, standing 73 stories tall in the core of Downtown’s historic, entertainment, financial, arts, and sports districts. Ideally placed at the heart of the revitalized, energy-charged urban center of the United States’ second-largest city, the hotel provides first-class hospitality that seamlessly intertwines with the fabric of the burgeoning Downtown area.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:
  • Assist in overseeing, administering and communicating pertinent information regarding all Human Resources functions to include, but not limited to, recruiting, training and development, wage/benefit administration, colleague engagement, labor relations and contract compliance, performance evaluations, workers compensation and safety, employment processes and general leadership guidance and support.
  • Building a positive work environment for all IHG colleagues throughout their career with us – from onboarding, to training and promotions, through to exit
  • Leading, educating and training the wider team on people issues and HR disciplines to enhance performance 
  • Developing creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide our hotel guests with unique experiences
  • Manage and supervise the daily activities of the Human Resources Department.
  • Enhancing our hotels’ reputation in the local community and beyond, and promoting team member involvement in the local community 
  • Oversee colleague engagement programs.
  • Participate in and facilitate meetings for leadership development. 
     

What We need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent 

• Four years of related experience in HR – supervisory experience is also beneficial 

• Union experience required or strongly preferred 

• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

 

What you can expect from us:

The salaried pay range for this role is $98,000- $128,000 annually. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Los Angeles, California. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
