Summary


The Cook will report to the Chef De Cuisine/Sous Chef and forms part of the Culinary team who collectively deliver exceptional guest experiences.

We are looking for individuals who have good culinary skills and knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures.

The Role of the Cook

  • Assist in running his/her assigned section within his/her culinary outlet and on demand in any other area of the culinary operation 
  • The mission and intent is to take full responsibility and to follow the food quality & presentation of his/her assigned outlet kitchen section and on demand to assist other areas of the hotel culinary operation
  • To ensure, that agreed quality, hygiene and other standards are kept or surpassed, at all times
  • To be cost conscious and quality orientated
  • Responsible to comply at all times the standard recipes, quality requirements, stocks, and techniques of his/her kitchen section and within the kitchen outlet and communicates with Chef de Partie and supporting kitchen departments status, shortfalls and trainings needs


 

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management/ Catering
  • Minimum 1 year relevant job experience in similar capacity
  • Excellent team player
  • Enjoy providing great attention to detail
  • Passion for quality and freshness
  • Reliable and flexible in undertaking various tasks
  • Willing to work shift duties
