Job Description
Like all members of the kitchen team, the Commis Chef must maintain high standards of health and safety, including personal hygiene. You will be responsible for producing the most creative and excellent dishes, ensuring that the guests expectations are exceeded and fully satisfied.
A Commis - Sushi Chef is a skilled culinary professional who specializes in the art of sushi preparation. They are responsible for creating and presenting high-quality sushi dishes to customers in a restaurant setting. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of sushi ingredients, techniques, and presentation.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of different types of fish, seafood, and other sushi ingredients, including their characteristics and seasonality.
- Good knife skills and proficiency in various sushi techniques, such as cutting, slicing, rolling, and shaping sushi.
- Passion for teamwork.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Knowledge of basic preparation, presentation and preservation of food.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures.
