The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join our luxury hospitality team. This is a unique opportunity to work within an exclusive private island environment where excellence, discretion, and exceptional service sit at the heart of everything we do.


The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Technical Services Manager and Maintenance department in the daily operations with maintenance tasks and responsibilities as directed by his/her manager 
  • Supporting the Islands overall Estate Management Plan of the fabric, electrical, plumbing, pool infrastructures, facilities and grounds areas. 
  • Supporting the Technical Services department in the maintenance and development element of the Islands.  

 

This role is ideal for someone who understands the rhythm of high-end private service, takes pride in the details, and thrives in a team environment where standards are high, the pace is dynamic, and the work is deeply rewarding.


Key Objectives

These include but are not limited to:

  • To maintain and repair the safe, efficient and reliable operation of fabric, furniture, plumbing, mechanical & electrical systems. 
  •  Establish and maintain a service schedule and repair records of all vehicles and golf cars. 
  • To carry out reactive and proactive maintenance to the property as instructed to ensure it is well maintained. 
  • Carry out all planned preventative maintenance as directed. To assist with any projects or work given to maintenance. 


Key Skills/Qualifications

  • Post-secondary training (optional but beneficial) - Courses or diplomas in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work from a trade school or community college. 
  • 3-5 years in related hotel maintenance settings 
  • Strong knowledge in HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical system, electronic appliance
  • General troubleshooting and repairs techniques
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong computer knowledge and familiar with MS Excel and word. 
  • Have the knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Good communication skills
