We have a fantastic vacancy for a Full Time Grounds person / Greenkeeper to join our exceptional award winning Greens keeping team.
Main Duties
* Cut tees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough.
* Operates some equipment used in course maintenance.
* Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop zones and hazards.
* Mowers: fairway, tee.
* Small machinery: string trimmer, fly mow, backpack blower.
* Involved in course detail tasks: weed and debris clean-up, poa eradication, etc.
* Maintains equipment fluid levels: Petrol/ diesel/ oil, etc. (throughout day)
* Reports equipment problems/failures to mechanic immediately and completes correct paper work.
* Performs daily equipment repair and maintenance as directed by Lead Mechanic.
* Ensures that all equipment used is washed properly, returned to designated location and charging if applicable.
* Performs bunker maintenance: operation of mechanical rake
* Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
* Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance functions. Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use.
* Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance.
* Maintain the appearance of planters, or other grounds features by cleaning, replacing or making repairs.
* Maintain the appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, or parking lots by filling in cracks, holes, and making other repairs.
* Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
* Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications
* Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
* Perform other reasonable job duties as require
Other Job Requirements
* Regular and reliable attendance.
* Ability to work outdoor shifts
* Must be able to work weekends
* Must maintain regular and reliable attendance
* Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, which include: regularly standing; walking; climbing or balancing; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
* Relevant experience or training.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
