Independent working chef-I

Since 2002, Restaurant Surya has been offering authentic Indian and Nepalese dishes and exclusive drinks in an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. Surya has locations in Hilversum, , , and is renowned for quality, hospitality, and a unique experience. We are looking for 9 motivated Independent working chef -I ( 3x Hilversum, 3x Amsterdam, 3x Utrecht).

The Position: Independent working chef-I

Tasks:

• Assess and prepare the quality of products/ingredients
• Prepare and present dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Carry out preparatory work (cutting, mixing, etc.) and perform interim quality checks
• Responsible for inventory and order management
• Keep the kitchen and equipment clean; identify and resolve minor malfunctions
• Provide technical guidance to assistants
• Contribute to the composition and modification of menus, dishes, and methods
• Think along about improvements in the kitchen

Our requirements:

• MBO 3, MBO 3 working and thinking level
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Good communication skills in English and/or Dutch
• Creativity, passion, eye for detail, and team spirit
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure

What We Offer:

• Salary in accordance with the hospitality collective labor agreement: €2750 – €3200 per month (depending on experience)
