Waiter

We are looking for a Waiter who is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

•              Greet and escort guests to their tables.

•              Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)

•              Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses.

•              Provide the perfect service experience for restaurant patrons.

•              Check that guests are satisfied with their meal and administer change to tables if needed.

•              Ensure the guest feels important and welcome in the restaurant.

•              Inform guests about the day’s specials, offer menu recommendations upon request and also up-sell additional products when appropriate.

•              Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff and serve food and drink orders.

•              Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold and adhere to timing standards for products and services.

•              Ensuring the food order is made correctly by kitchen staff and looks presentable for guests.

•              Taking accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization.

•              Arrange table settings, carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning and maintain a tidy dining area.

•              Coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver accurate food orders and also assist in keeping the restaurant clean and safe.

•              Check guests' IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages

•              Learn and understand all the items in the menu.

•              Look for ways to avoid waste and limit costs.

•              Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu, and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)

•              Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures.

•              Report to property on time and in proper uniform.

•              Follow all relevant health department regulations.

•              Courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance.

•              Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience as a Waiter.

•              Active listening and effective communication skills.

•              Must be good at presenting and also cordial & hospitable towards the guests.

•              Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

•              Ability to remain calm and professional with difficult guests.

•              Coordination to carry plates or trays without dropping anything.

•              Good team player, thorough and Organized.

•              Be the legal age to serve alcohol.

•              Physically fit to meet the demands of the job, such as walking and standing for long hours.

•              Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system.

•              Strong knowledge of all menu items.

•              Willing to work in any shifts and on weekends and holidays

•              Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment

•              High school diploma or equivalent and additional experience, education, training, or certifications is a plus.

•              Knowledge of a second language is a plus.

•              Basic math and computer skills.

•              Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations calmly and rationally.
