We opened The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery in May 2023 and have reset the clock within this historic building, bringing it back to life.  We create memorable moments for all life enjoyers to experience unique stories from the past but also to write their own astonishing tales of the future.  We boast 178 stunning bedrooms set in a remarkable and inspiring landmark of the city. Time is of essence and at the heart of The Municipal’s story.  Its iconic clock tower and bells giving the tempo to a timeless melody.  Various restaurants, bars and a state of the art spa sanctuary including a pool, will offer everyone the place to have the time of their lives, reset the clock and embark upon their own magical journey…

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BARTENDER AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Bar Manager, you will be based at the hotel on an hourly basis up to 40 hours per week (variety of shifts available).  You can expect your working day to include the following; 

To prepare, mix and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages based on customer requests, providing theatre, a memorable experience and exceeding expectations. Your duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, providing a prompt, delightful and caring service, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, replenishing stock levels and balancing cash receipts to record sales.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To assist in the day to day service operation within the Bar and function areas.  To promote a hospitable and professional image to the guest and give full co-operation to any guest requiring assistance, with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude.

Other duties include;

• Ensure service standards and service times are maintained by offering a prompt and efficient service.  Create a timeless memory and ensure our guests are delighted with our service.
• Anticipate guests’ needs wherever possible and promote hospitality within the hotel, enhancing guest satisfaction.
• To be fully aware of all Bar and Restaurant Menu's.
• Maximise sales and upselling opportunities.
• Follow company control procedures in accordance with the internal audit requirements, H&S requirements and licensing laws.
• To work positively and collaboratively with all departments and team members.
