Assistant Engineering Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Engineering Manager supports the Engineering Leadership in helping run the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that all areas of the resort are proactively maintained and that everything is functional and in proper working order.
• Assisting in the planning and execution of CARE (Clean and Repair Everything) and various other projects throughout the year.
• Display a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with guests and employees.
• Has strong management and leadership qualities with an emphasis on relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
• Helps lead the natural disaster processes in place (for flash floods, wind, earthquakes, etc.) by ensuring a proactive protocol to keep the hotel and its people safe.
• Able to prioritize a heavy workload and last-minute events, showing great organizational skills, discipline and confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Expansive knowledge in electrical maintenance, boilers, and heating and cooling systems.
• Excellent delegation and Project Management Skills.
• Must be a certified pool operator or able to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of various utilities such as solar plants, water treatment, propane, natural well water pump and filtration, residential development, infrastructure upkeep (roads), F&LS installation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Guest and service oriented with a compassionate demeanour.
