We are recruiting SALES DIRECTOR (M/F) to ANANTARA VILAMOURA ALGARVE RESORT

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:
As Sales Director (M/F), you will report hierarchically to the Hotel General Manager and functionally to the Resorts Sales Director in
Portugal, and you will be responsible for:
• Understand the business strategy, positioning of the Anantara brand and the Minor Hotels group and effectively publicize this
positioning in the market, projecting a professional image to maintain and improve the reputation of the Anantara brand;
• Stay up-to-date on rates and all Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort product and service offers;
• Conduct regular market analyzes in order to monitor competition and industry trends;
• Carry out the correct monitoring, follow-up and management of the group segment on the property, ensuring the correct
positioning, follow-up and follow-up of inspection visits, whenever necessary;
• Carry out the correct monitoring of the golf segment and participate in the development and promotion of a product related to the
segment for the property;
• Participate in the elaboration of the hotel's budget in terms of revenue and costs of the department;
• Putting into practice a multi-segment strategy that allows the optimization of results at different times of the year;
• Understand the importance and priority of the Hotel's financial results and direct commercial efforts towards their fulfillment,
planning and prioritizing work to achieve goals and deadlines;
• Support the development of contacts with new customers and monitor their potential revenue;
• Commit to your professional development, including the constant acquisition and improvement of knowledge in the financial,
negotiation and sales areas, necessary for an effective performance of functions;
• Carry out effective cost control, complying with internal procedures for approving expenses;
• Actively participate in promotional and commercial trips, inspection visits, roadshows, community events and sector meetings in
order for Hotel Anantara Vilamoura to achieve the expected commercial results;
• Establish an effective connection with the hotel's operational teams, Front Office, Reservations and Events, providing support and
information necessary to ensure compliance with all services and products sold to customers;
• Generate upsell and cross-sell opportunities for Minor Hotels products with customers;
• Ensure the correct, effective and prompt processing of all communications with the department, including letters, emails,
contracts and reports.
• Lead the Leisure segment for Resorts in the region in line with the direction of the Department's Management;
• Develop new products within the Leisure segment, working together with the other teams involved;
• Make business and commercial presentations, internally and externally, and be able to adapt them to the public/client;
• Support, guide and supervise other members of the commercial team, working as a team to achieve results; department members
to achieve business results.
• Perform any other role-related duties as assigned.

WE LOOK FOR CANDIDATES WITH:
. Professional experience in the sales area of at least 5 years and knowledge of the hotel sector;
. Strong leadership skills and Excellent interpersonal skills;
. Positive attitude, even in situations of stress and pressure;
. Strong organizational capabilities, flexibility, adaptability and professional secrecy;
. Focus on results, customer orientation, analytical and creative skills;
. Good Communication/Persuasion and Negotiation Skills;
. Availability to travel nationally and internationally;
. Excellent ability to create and maintain a customer base;
. Knowledge of Portuguese, English (fluent in terms of speaking);
. Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Internet, Database and specific applications for the commercial area, PMS and IT, Budget Management and Financial Management software.
