Job Requirement:

  1. Must be able to work in Guam USA without any restrictions - US Citizens, US Permanet Residents and Residents of Federated Stated of Micronesia.
  2. Must be able to work felxible shift.
  3. Must obtain Health Certificate and ABC card.
  4. Japanese / Korean Speaking skills preferred.


What’s the job?

Maintain the Club Lounge in a clean and orderly manner and promote a relaxing and enjoyable environment. Ensure the security of the guest by verifying guest registration.

Your-day-to-day

People

  • Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner and be knowledgeable of services in the local areas.
  • Ability to make suggestions to Club Lounge guest of specific hotel offerings, as well as highlights, points of interest and destinations in Guam.
  • Making sure place settings are cleared and ready for next guest.
  • Assist in creative display of meal offerings communicating with Club Lounge Manager on items to be served.
  • Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints. 
  • Make appropriate service recovery gestures in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • Conversational confidence with VIP Guests – checking on each in Lounge area regularly


Financial

  • During each shift, check all supplies to ensure adequate stock; replenish from the stock room as necessary and proper requisitions are completed to prevent outstanding budgetary food cost.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions. 
  • Ensure guests are greeted warmly and professionally.


Guest Experience

Responsible Business

  • Complete all Club Attendant duties and maintain the cleanliness of equipment used and all areas related to the Club Lounge throughout shift.
  • Maintain proper temperature for the comfort of the guest.
  • Print reports and/or complete paperwork at the end of shift.
  • Maintains exemplary deportment standards of behavior, appearance and attitude as expected in an IHG Brand. 
  • Takes personal interest and pride to ensure that the work area is kept clean and in an orderly state at all times. 
  • Strives to maintain the high standards of the hotel for all guests with special attention to IHG Loyalty Program members and other VIP’s. 
  • Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What we need from you

Education - High School Diploma or equivalent.

Service years - One (1) year experience in a similar environment. Experience with OPERA hotel property management system is highly preferred.

Knowledge and skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic math skills, reading, and writing are used when completing paperwork.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS programs.     
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.


Language - Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)

Preferred (if required)

  • Must possess a valid health certificate and ABC license
  • Regularly carrying, pushing or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently standing and walking about the work area.
  • Handling objects, products and equipment including utensils, dining and glassware.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling
