About The Job

Engineer III – Carpenter is responsible for responding to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

Who We Look For:

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a professional environment, has great customer service skills, high operating standards and enjoys being "hands on" by utilising their exceptional eye for detail. This position is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the Hotel and its facilities.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as Carpenter.
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.).
Excellent communication and organization skills; reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible schedule; ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends and holidays
Have good administration and computer skill (Excel, Word).
Minimum of One (1) year of general carpentry experience and completion of an apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Background with Mechanical/Electrical, Laundry, HVAC and kitchen is an advantage.
Minimum qualification of a Diploma or general education degree bachelor in any Engineering field.

Responsibilities:

Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements.
Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.
Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with contractors and suppliers who will furnish reliable 24 hour emergency service as necessary.
Ensure proper execution of work order systems and that items are followed up on for completion.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner.
Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
Assist with other tasks as assigned or request, maintaining Four Seasons standards in every action.
