Our Open Opportunity

The scope of the position of Food & Beverage Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and oversee managers in both Stewarding and In-Room Dining.

Job Functions:

         •      The ability to oversee and perform all tasks in the In-Room Dining department.

         •      The ability to oversee and perform all tasks in the Stewarding department.

         •      The ability to coach, discipline and manage employees according to Four Seasons progressive discipline and local employment ordinances and parameters.

         •      The ability to establish and follow up on service procedures.

         •      The ability to create and manage cleaning schedules.

         •      The ability to supervise the consistency of quality and efficiency of food and service.

         •      The ability to monitor all amenities so they are delivered on time and are properly maintained.

         •      The ability to establish and maintain par stocks of all supplies.

         •      Monitor and maintain back-of-house cleanliness throughout the F&B operations.

         •      The ability to ensure the cleanliness of IRD and guest hallways by establishing and enforcing clean-up schedules.

         •      The ability to prepare weekly, monthly and yearly goals and budgets.

         •      The ability to prepare staff schedules according to forecasts, daily and weekly payroll reports and scheduled functions.

         •      The ability to sure all amenities are set correctly, and delivered to guest rooms in the expected time window.

         •      The ability to maintain a continuous training program with entire service staff.

         •      The ability to communicate with all other Department Heads to coordinate efforts in matters of mutual interest.

         •      The ability to coordinate and execute functions or special receptions in rooms, suites and boardrooms.

         •      The ability to complete all performance evaluations and follow-up on a timely basis.

         •      The ability to hire, train, supervise, providing coaching &discipline, when appropriate, to all IRD and Stewarding employees, working closely with P&C when necessary.

         •      The ability to utilize all computer systems relevant to the department.

         •      The ability to hold regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service.

         •      The ability to maintain a logbook with important information to be passed onto management.

         •      The ability to ensure all equipment is kept in perfect working condition and reports any deficiencies to the proper department.

         •      The ability to establish an effective and efficient method for setting orders properly.

         •      Monitor and manage amortization schedules and yearly glassware/silverware/china inventories. Secondarily the ability to partner with Rooms Division Leaders to maintain and manage linen inventory.

         •      The ability to train order takers in proper selling and telephone techniques.

         •      The ability to confer with the Director of Food and Beverage on a regular basis.

         •      The ability to ensure all private bars are stocked and controlled properly, as well as maintain product inventory.

         •      The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

         •      The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.

Qualification Requirements:

         •      Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Spanish is a plus.

         •      College degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management preferred.

         •      Thorough knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labor control, maintenance and merchandising.

         •      Minimum two years food and beverage management experience; previous hotel and/or Department Head level management experience preferred

         •      Computer literate in Word, Excel, E-Mail usage. Additional hospitality systems experience such as Opera, Bartech, Birchstreet and/or HotSOS are preferred.

Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.
