In Room Dining Server

The In Room Dining Server transports food orders and amenities including any special needs and/or requests to the guest in room in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.  Greet guests and be able to provide thorough description of food and beverage items.  Breakdown, clean, and set-up room service tables and all necessary items; coordinate tray and table removal. Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.  Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

• Prior In-Room Dining and/or food and beverage serving experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of Opera/Micros preferred/is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs.
