Basic Purpose:

Provide guests with food and beverage, water, amenity service (cool towels, refreshments, spritzing), towels and assistance with seating arrangements at the pool and surrounding areas. Respond to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer service and satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

1. Respond to and provide guests with food and beverage, water, and amenity service, towels and assistance with seating arrangements at the pool and surrounding areas. (70%)

2. Provide accurate information to guests in a courteous manner; fulfill all reasonable guest requests or requirements with a sense of urgency and poise; anticipate guest needs. (10%)

3. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in OhanaPact. (10%)

4. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, supervisors, and outside contacts. (10%)

Non-Essential Functions:

1. Pick-up and deliver towels/towel bins to and from the laundry and towel stands.

2. Responsible for maintaining the pool and seating areas presentable, clean, orderly and ready for immediate use by new guests.

3. Use the hotel computer systems and phone system effectively.

4. Swimming/life guard skills to assist a guest in distress.

5. CPR/First Aid skills/certification.

Pay

The Hourly Rate for this position is $18.76 USD.

Knowledge and Skills Education:

High School education or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Experience required by position is three (3) months to one (1) full year of employment in a related position with Four Seasons or other organizations.

Skills and Abilities:

Requires basic food and beverage service knowledge and skills. Able to read and speak English.

Hours required:

Eight or ten hour shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need.

45% of shift lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying supplies/equipment and food and beverage up to 50 lbs

Bending/Kneeling

30% of shift bending/kneeling to access supplies/equipment and service food and beverage to guests in chaise lounges

Mobility

90% of shift continuous movement throughout pool and seating areas

Continuous Standing

95% of shift continuous standing attending to guests at their seats or at the towel stand

Climbing

Stairs: Up to approx. 5 steps 30% of 8-10 hour shift depending on assigned section

None

Inside: 1%

Outside: 99%

Subject to all weather conditions; including: sun, wind, and rain

Temperatures range seasonally from the low 70’s up to 90’s with humidity up to 80%

Wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour

10% cleaning fluids used to clean pool chairs, beds, stands, menus etc.
