The most recent project- an outdoor swimming pool and bar with under-water music. The Hotel’s new pool area is a sophisticated oasis perfect for enjoying and relaxing dip with a refreshing drink. The Pool Bar’s menu offers a good selection of food, petiscos, drinks and Lisbon-inspired cocktails.

What will be your main responsibilities and duties:

The Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives that promote ecologically responsible practices and operations at the Ritz Hotel. This professional will play a crucial role in the assessment and continuous improvement of the organisation's environmental performance, ensuring compliance with ESG targets and regulations.

Developing and implementing sustainability strategies in line with the company's objectives and targets;

Define and support the identification of sustainability indicators and draw up the respective Environmental Management Plans and Reports;

Building and implementing an integrated vision of the various dimensions of corporate sustainability, through the dimensions that make up ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance);

Keeping abreast of new trends, including legislative changes, in order to continuously improve the sustainability strategy;

Promoting internal awareness-raising activities on sustainable practices;

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainable practices into existing operations and processes;

Compile environmental and safety data and other technical sustainability information to support the business;

Monitoring and evaluating non-conformities, improvement/corrective/preventive actions within the scope of corporate sustainability.

What you will bring to us:

University degree in Sustainability Management, Environment, Engineering or other relevant subjects;

Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies;

Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability standards relevant to the company's sector;

Experience in implementing, maintaining and improving Environmental Management Systems - ISO 14001 (Preferred);

Excellent communication and organization skills;

Attention to detail and problem solving skills;

Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload;

The candidate must hold the required authorization to work in an European country;

Reading, writing and oral proficiency both in Portuguese and English.
