The Opportunity:  

We are seeking a Uniform Attendant, an exciting opportunity to be part of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville! 

The Laundry Valet is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team who collectively is responsible for the pressing, washing and the dry-cleaning services of our guests’ and employee’s clothes. The Valet Attendant is also responsible for the pickup and delivery of any clothes cleaning requests. Attendant will maintain the PAR levels of uniforms assigned to each employee and because of that, a meticulous inventory should be done quarterly.  

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): 

  • Travels to Guest Room to pick up the clothing that needs service.  Ascertains time completed goods are required. Counts the items and gives guest a completed receipt. Marks guest clothing for identification 

  • Sorts guest items for appropriate action (Washing, dry cleaning, pressing or repair) and then processes the clothing on the correct equipment, using the appropriate temperature and chemicals. Once processed, folds or hangs the clothing as desired. Delivers clothing to guest at time desired 

  • Sorts employee uniforms for appropriate action (Washing, dry cleaning, pressing or repair) either to process them on site or to send them to be processed by our third party in the case of the rental program. Then, processes the clothing. Once processed, hangs and transports clean uniforms to the conveyer 

  • Operates and maintains washer, dryer, dry cleaning machine, presser and iron.  Reports any problems or deficiencies to manager 

  • Assists the Housekeeping Management team in processing regular uniforms, room and F&B linen inventories 



  • Assists the Housekeeping Management team in maintaining proper uniforms, room and F&B linen par stock 

  • Ensures all chemicals and operating supplies such as iron hangers, laundry, and sewing supplies are well stocked 

  • Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors 

  • Carries out any other related duties as specified by your supervisor 



AS A SPOTTER / DRY CLEANER / PRESSER  

  • Comply, whenever possible, with all guest requests.  

  • Handle property of hotel guests carefully and professionally.  

  • Remove all spots and stains from garments when possible.  

  • Read all clothing labels before processing. 



  • Any damage to a garment must be reported, before processing. 

  • Knowledge of operating equipment in relation to the type of garments.  

  • Guest garments to be pressed according to Four Seasons Hotels Standards. 



AS A TAGGER / CHECKER  

  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.  

  • Handle guest and hotel property carefully.  

  • Identify correctly all guest laundry and dry cleaning, comparing and verifying the guest listings.  

  • Examine all clothing, record defects and refer them to manager/supervisor.  

  • Check all pockets for items left by guest or employee and return in an envelope to the guest. 



  • Remove lint from garments  

  • Mark identifying symbols on clothing.  

  • Remove buttons, ornaments, and other trimmings when necessary and replace them after cleaning.  

  • Verify clothing labels for laundry or dry-cleaning treatment.  

  • Sort articles for spotting.  



  • Notify Supervisor of supplies needed.  

  • Distribute garments to laundry and dry-cleaning areas.  

  • Perform any other assigned tasks. 



AS A VALET RUNNER  

  • Picking up guest’s clothes and delivery of same to guest room.  

  • Ensure the name and room number is on the guest laundry / dry cleaning slip before removal from room.  

  • Deliver accurately and timely guest’s laundry and dry cleaning.  

  • Comply with “special requests” whenever possible.  

  • Greet guest by name whenever possible.  



  • Comply with Four Seasons grooming standards 

  • Refer any guest complaints to Supervisor.  

  • Inspect closely all work done by outside service and repackage as needed for delivery to guest room.  

  • Assist with packaging of guest clothing.  

  • Perform any other assigned tasks  



AS UNIFORM ATTENDANT / SEAMSTRESS  

  • Repair all linen and uniforms.  

  • Alter uniforms, when necessary.  

  • Continual maintenance of sewing machines, i.e. cleaning, oiling. etc.  



  • Report any defects to the Housekeeping Manager.  

  • Make requisitions for the sewing machines via the manager.  

  • Help with the issuing of uniforms.  

  • Mending of guest clothes / uniforms 

  • Comply with guest request.  



  • Order new uniforms, which must be done through the Director of Housekeeping.  

  • Receiving and issuing of uniforms.  

  • When issuing a uniform to a new employee, there should be an authorization form signed by the Director of Housekeeping or Assistant Director of Housekeeping 

  • Clean uniforms should be stored in an orderly manner, dividing them first by departments then by size or number.  

  • A record must be kept of all uniforms in use, with the name of each employee and department. 



  • Inventory should be done quarterly.  

  • Lost or discarded uniforms should be accounted for.  

  • Keep the uniform room clean and tidy.  

  • Uniform pressing as needed.  

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.  



Preferred Qualifications and Skills: 

  • High School education or equivalent experiences.  

  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in Housekeeping or equivalent with Four Seasons or another organization.  



  • Have a high level of attention to detail. 

  • Knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment. 

  • Ability to understand and working knowledge of English.  

  • Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts
