This is a remote base position

The salary range for this role is $103,500 to $126,500

This position will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining accounts to drive revenue and market share growth within the luxury consortia segment for the IHG Luxury + Lifestyle Americas portfolio. It also requires a deep knowledge in a cross-functional approach to transient strategies and structure, luxury consortia procurement + buying patterns, segment campaign development and identifying strong internal sales training opportunities.  

This role requires an understanding of hospitality digital marketing, revenue management, sales and PR/communications, both at the brand and field level. Experience with property-level and regional commercial support services is a benefit.  

Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:  

You will work with each participating hotel within Tiered Services to grow each property’s luxury segment revenue goals and manage customer’s day-to-day needs while identifying viable opportunities for deliberate initiatives designed to improve operational and financial performance.  This position consistently provides a high level of exposure of the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, written communications, and involvement in the community. It’s an extremely dynamic position who will work with multiple hotels and teams across the country at any given time – get ready to take charge and own the various markets!  Lots of potential for travel for property visits, tradeshows and client entertainment 

Closely partner with IHG Luxury and Lifestyle Global Account Directors regarding target agencies, potential hosting opportunities, client entertainment and/or roadshows  

  • Design strategic marketing plan for each property, inclusive of complimentary opportunities offered in annual consortia program fees and paid marketing opportunities to reach target agencies 
  • Budget consultation with Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure comprehensive plan is built for new year, inclusive of target program annual fees, marketing, sales incentives/promotions and T+E to feeder markets 
  • Develop and implement best practices and continued trainings for operations teams on property to optimize service delivery for all luxury programs 
  • Continued consultation on services, amenities, partnerships and programming to improve hotel offerings along with a comprehensive understanding of competitive set offerings and program participation.  
  • Deep understanding of all IHG Luxury programs (including requirements, contracting timeline, applicable rate categories and corresponding value add) to be a subject matter expert for represented properties and the greater LLA Estate.   
  • Partner with GM and DOSMs regarding potential improvements and required training for hotel teams to complete in order to maintain good standing in luxury programs. 
  • Analyze data, understand industry trends and highlight account-based trends on a regular cadence, and compare data with previous years' results to benchmark & support continued growth and gain market share. 
  • Develop and continually enhance relationships with key accounts, industry accounts, community organizations and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase market share.  
  • Conduct sales presentations to clients and ownership, in person or via webinar 
  • Travel as needed, for property/comp set visits, tradeshows (5) and hosted client events  
  • Consults with property teams to incorporate marketing strategies into sales strategies. 


  • Prepares for and actively participates in weekly sales meetings. 


 



IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALITIES:  



 

  • Self-motivated, organized, and high level of productivity 
  • Strong customer service skills with a drive to exhibit good judgement, flexibility, and dependability 
  • Ability to work cross functionally with a variety of different teams and leaders, including executive teams 
  • Strong negotiation skills for both internal and external partnerships 
  • In depth knowledge of luxury travel industry and past experience with above property sales or cluster hotel sales  
  • Ideally candidate will have knowledge or background of luxury business transient segment as well 


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum requirements, knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies include but are not limited:  


  • Minimum 7-10 years sales management experience in groups + meeting market.  
  • Proven successful selling and negotiation skills  
  • Multi-property or GSO experience preferred 
  • Knowledge of Delphi, meeting Broker, PowerPoint, Agency360, various reservation or on property systems 
  • Travel up to 30% and ability to work outside normal business hours 
  • Possess excellent organization, project management, presentation and verbal and written communication skills 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

  • BA/BS Degree in Hospitality / Tourism Management, Business or related field of study preferred.

The salary range for this role is $103,500 to $126,500 .This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

 

**This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
