Role Purpose

This role is responsible for managing all regional adoption & activation activity of the Voice Services products globally. Focus team sales effort specifically, but not exclusively, on hotels and developing new relationships to meet brand, hotel, and management Company contribution goals. Manager will also guide and assist in the activities of other sales assets in the assigned region. Act as primary point of contact for relevant stakeholders, and as the acknowledged expert on market and customer issues within the market sector.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for goal setting and performance optimization of Voice Services revenue, room nights, and share of business targets for the team and hotels.
  • Introduce and promote major programs and promotions to hotels and stakeholders. May manage relationship management process and implement strategy with target hotels as needed. Manage performance-to-plan and market opportunity at all levels. May develop promotional collateral.
  • Actively participate, attend & manage content of revenue driving activities for Voice Services hotels. Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to elevate brand profiles. 
  • Establish and activate ways of working that will maximize resources and revenue connections to hotels (FPS, RMH, etc) 
  • Communication of program initiatives – including developing strategies as per team focus, securing leadership support, executing strategies, and delivering results. Records, analyzes and maintains appropriate sales and performance reports
  • Monitor revenue targets and act decisively to deliver on system-wide revenue commitments. Identify and understand key performance drivers.
  • Coach and develop team members; hire, fire, assess, discipline, document performance, recommend salary and classification changes. Ensure Voice Services personnel work effectively with the principle (hotel) and their stakeholders.
  • Responsible for staffing. Pro-actively manage, develop, coach and motivate team to achieve targets. 


Key Skills & Experiences

Education –

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Management, Business, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. MBA a plus.

Experience –

6-8 years progressive work-related experience in the industry with demonstrated proficiency in revenue generation (reservations), as well as 3 to 5 years prior supervisory or team leader experience.

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • High degree of personal drive, self starter and able to work independently. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in remote locations. 
  • Diplomatic with strong interpersonal skills required to build relationships; able to gain credibility with executives and senior managers in the organization
  • Understanding of Global differences and ability to understand, evaluate and work within various cultural and global marketplace differences.
  • High level of interest in progressing to larger areas of responsibility within IHG at appropriate time
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing people; hire, fire, assess, discipline, document performance, recommend salary and classification changes. Act as advisor to subordinate managers or staff.
