Scope of Position

Head Waiter/tress  provides the highest level of service and professional excellence, being ever present in the operation ensuring the highest standards and to completely satisfy our guests during their meal experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To perform kind and generous service in always treating both guests and colleagues in a respectful manner while treasuring our colleagues as much as our delightful guests.
  • To attend pre-service briefings for daily updates, ensuring active and regular communication within the team and that all tasks are followed up efficiently prior to guest’s arrival.
  • Ensuring that the opening and closing of the outlet is organised. This includes making sure that there is always adequate mise en place, setting up the restaurant before the guest’s arrival and performing all duties related to the closing of the outlet.
  • Ensuring that all steps throughout the sequence of service are thoroughly followed and should there be any gaps or delay, to ask for help in a timely manner, so that the guest experience is not negatively impacted.
  • To understand and operate the POS system.
  • To prepare and present bills accurately.
  • To ensure service and Back of House areas are always kept clean and work is conducted according to the MOHG standards of FLHSS.
  • To perform any other reasonable duties as required by Management.


Requirements

  • To be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Minimum of 2 year working experience in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant operation.
  • Must be a self-motivator and spread positivity within the team.
  • Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
  • Must be able to relate to all levels of Guests and management.
  • Can handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our Guest.
  • Very good communication skills are essential.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Local and international food and beverage awareness is a plus.
  • Very good command of spoken English & Greek.
