Senior Linen Room Attendant

Responsibilities

AM Shift: 

• Check and follow up on all guest dry cleaning and laundry. 
• Responsible for fulfilling all emergency guest laundry and pressing needs on the overnight shift. 
• Perform minor tailoring needs of staffs i.e. repair a tear, hem or popped button. 
• Maintain bar coding on all colleague’s uniforms in an efficient manner. 
• Scan all uniforms as they come into the department. 
• Send out all scanned uniforms and print out daily uniform lists. 
• Check daily on uniform discrepancies. 
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the uniform room. 
• Ensure correct usage of washer/dryer machine, presser and ironing ‘suzie’. 
• Keep Laundry Manager informed of any laundry/uniform issues. 
• Liaise with uniform cleaning company to keep track of any employee complaints. .

PM Shift: 

• Collect all linen and terry from each of the guest service landings. 
• Sort all soiled laundry prior to washing. Separate all torn linen, terry items and bathrobes by size and log the count in the daily log sheet. 
• Separate all torn linen and terry to be used as rags. 
• Maintain a count of all spa, banquet and restaurant linen dropped into the Housekeeping linen room. 
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised work space. 
• Maintain daily records of all linen coming in and leaving the building and keep the Assistant Executive Housekeeper informed of any discrepancies.
