Job Summary:

As the Income Auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data and adherence to hotel standards and policies. Your responsibilities will include performing daily audit procedures, reconciling revenue transactions, and preparing comprehensive financial reports for management review.

A little bit about your day:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, every day is different, but you’ll mostly:

  • Conduct daily reconciliation of all resort revenue, posting journal entries to rectify errors or omissions promptly.
  • Review and address any unapproved adjustments and refunds with department heads.
  • Reconcile cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accurate processing and depositing.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or irregularities identified during audits, collaborating with relevant departments for swift resolution.
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly income audit reports, including revenue summaries and variance analyses.
  • Reconcile sales taxes daily and manage tax-exempt revenue accurately.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax and tip allocation reports.
  • Generate daily chargeback reports and liaise with Accounts Receivable for resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance audit processes, improve controls, and streamline workflows.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external auditors, providing accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, resort policies, and legal regulations related to accounts receivable and billing procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Income Auditor or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality/Tourism, or currently enrolled in a related program.
  • Working knowledge of banking, credit cards, accounts payable, and general ledger processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Opera, Micros, and/or InfoGenesis is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering trust and confidence to motivate and influence others.
  • Professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

What you can expect from us: 

The hourly pay range for this role is  $31.00 to $33.00 . This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at  Regent Santa Monica Beach . This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A colleague’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
