Job Description
  • Prepare and create a wide range of baklava desserts with traditional and modern variations
  • Develop and refine baklava recipes, ensuring consistent quality and taste
  • Prepare and present high-quality, visually appealing, and delectable specialty dishes
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to plan menus and specials
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes of specialty dishes
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and plating of specialty dishes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in the art of specialty cuisine
  • Assist in managing inventory, controlling food costs, and minimizing waste
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, new techniques, and ingredients, incorporating them into menu development as appropriate


Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Baklava Specialty Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel
  • In-depth knowledge of various specialty cuisines, cooking techniques, and ingredients
  • Exceptional culinary creativity and passion for creating unique and memorable dining experiences
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred
