The resort consists of 494 guest rooms, a 64-acre nature reserve, the Rasa Ria Reserve, home to wildlife including long-tailed macaques and slow lorises, and home to an 18-hole championship golf course with picture-perfect views of Mt Kinabalu (a UNESCO World Heritage site).

We're looking for an experienced Bar & Lounge Manager for our Food & Beverage Service Division.

Job summary

The Bar & Lounge Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation, management and overall performance of the bar and lounge sections, oversees beverages for all outlets’ bar and in charge of overall beverages in the resort. As such he/she will be directly involved in the day-to-day running of the outlet in connection with staffing, customer services and product quality. Delegation of duties and responsibilities to his/her assistant is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of all phases of F&B service in the areas under control. He/she is to implement all standardized procedures, rules, and regulations systematically to be in line with hotel standards and policies.

Requirement

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a 5* hotel or in a standalone restaurant, with strong beverage background
  • Has effective managerial and leadership skills andis well organized.
  • Proficient in oral and written English, additional language an advantage
  • Physically fit, neat, and well-groomed
  • Confident, tactful, sensitive to guest and employee needs, service oriented, team player, flexible
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office)
  • Customer and revenue driven; has high attention to detail.
  • Has basic food hygiene knowledge.
  • Creative; can think out-of-the box.
  • Due to Local Immigration policies, only Malaysian will be considered.
