The role of the Group Head of Corporate Communications is to position, promote and enhance awareness of the Shangri-La brand to be the best-loved hospitality group. Under the direction of the Group, he/she is responsible for successfully devising the corporate strategy that supports the corporate communication and internal communications.

As our Group Head of Corporate Communications, we will rely on you to:

Corporate Communications & Public Relations

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that aligns with the annual sales plan and business strategy
  • Serve as a trusted communications consultant to the Chairman, SVP, Group Marketing & Communications, and the senior management team, providing guidance to enhance thought leadership
  • Engage with stakeholders, supporters, and influencers to effectively promote and manage the delivery of the communications strategy, supporting organizational objectives, including the preparation of the Annual Report
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and press contacts to maximize media exposure for the organization
  • Lead a team in producing high-quality and engaging content across various communication channels, such as the company website, social media platforms, press releases, and digital channels


Internal Communications

  • Manage internal communications initiatives to enhance employee engagement and support company-wide initiatives, public affairs, and leadership group activities
  • Collaborate with the corporate communications team based in Hong Kong and regional communication team members to ensure alignment with the global corporate strategy


Crisis Management and General Management

  • Establish a framework for reputation risk management and conduct thorough analyses of any potential reputation risks or issues
  • Proactively identify and alert management about negative events, enabling timely actions and alignment on necessary measures
  • Manage and control relevant budgets for the department to ensure effective resource allocation and financial oversight


We are looking for someone who has/ is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Journalist, Communications or relevant disciplines
  • Proven records of 15+ years in Corporate Communications, including a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior leadership or executive role, preferably gained from listed companies or sizable organizations
  • Substantial experience and knowledge in communications, branding development and crisis management
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills in English, and Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Excellent project management skill
  • Detailed-minded, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
