Assistant Human Resources Manager
Reports to – Human Resources Manager
Job Purpose:-
Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Human Resource Department. Responsible for monitoring efficacy of laid processes. Co-ordinate with other departments on identifying key manpower gaps. Ownership for recruitment, statutory compliances, payroll and engagement measures.
Key Responsibilities
Managerial Responsibilities
· Implement laid down HR processes with strong business perspective and empathy towards employees.
· Contribute to creating a high energy work environment in the hotel.
Assist in developing & implementing an annual plan to attain department’s objectives in line with unit’s overall strategy.
· Reinforce the Tata Code of Conduct and value systems through communication channels.
· Assist and support departments in developing leadership capabilities within the company framework.
· Drive internal communication channels.
· Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and employee satisfaction.
· Implement all the statutory requirements – PF, ESI, filing of returns, payroll etc,
Operational Responsibilities
· Monitor vacancies and recruit, interview and shortlist applicants.
· Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
· Responsible for process compliance pertaining of TPAM and audits pertaining to compensation process
· Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as code of conduct and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
· Analyse statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of HR problems and develop recommendations for improvement of unit HR policies and practices.
· Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee turnover.
· Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning HR related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
· Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, and administering grievance handling procedures.
· Assist the HR Manager to plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate the employee relations activities of the unit.
· Assist the HR Manager to prepare, follow and monitor budgets of HR operations.
Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions and employee benefits.
· Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering solutions and helping resolve work-related problems.
· Analyse and recommend modifications in compensation and benefits policies of non executive levels by benchmarking with competition and studying best practices.
· Represent the unit at HR related enquiries and other legal proceedings
· Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
· Contract with vendors to provide employee benefits services, such as transportation, relocation service, accommodation services etc.
· Must be familiar with the filing of ESI,PF and tracking VDA and other statutory requirements.
