Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Green Finger Hostess to join our team and enhance the beauty and ambiance of our establishment through expert plant care and management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, a keen eye for design, and excellent customer service skills. As a Green Finger Hostess, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining captivating green spaces that leave a lasting impression on our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create aesthetically pleasing plant displays, indoor gardens, and outdoor landscapes that align with the overall design and theme of the establishment.
- Choose appropriate plant species based on factors such as lighting conditions, climate, and aesthetic preferences.
- Regularly water, prune, fertilize, and care for plants to ensure their health and vitality.
- Monitor plant health and promptly address any issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure proper irrigation, lighting, and overall garden infrastructure.
- Engage with guests, providing information about the plants, their origins, care tips, and any other relevant details.
- Coordinate with event planners to integrate greenery into special events, ensuring that the plants contribute to the overall ambiance.
- Train and oversee junior staff members or garden assistants, delegating tasks and ensuring proper care techniques are followed.
- Maintain an organized inventory of plants, gardening tools, and supplies, and coordinate the procurement of new items as needed.
- Contribute to the development of educational materials and workshops related to plant care and horticulture for interested guests.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in horticulture and sustainable gardening practices.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A degree or certification in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in plant care, gardening, or landscape management.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, their specific care requirements, and potential challenges.
- Creativity and an eye for design to curate visually appealing green spaces.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage with guests and coworkers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
