The Academy Profession Degree Programme in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management gives you the competences to to work in development, management and marketing of services within one of three specialisation paths: tourism; hotel and restaurant; or sport and event management.
The Service Hospitality and Tourism Management programme is a 2-year full-time study programme worth 120 ECTS credits and which covers the following: - A common part featuring compulsory course units - An elective part which allows you to specialise (specialisation) - An internship - A final exam project based on a problem identified during your internship. The programme is based on interconnected themes that form the study programme. 1st semester – Theme: Service and experiences This theme aims to provide you with basic knowledge of the development of the service industry and the experience economy and to give you a holistic understanding of how to run a company. 2nd semester – Theme: Strategy and markets This theme aims to enable you to plan the operation of companies in the service and experience industry and assess how markets can be influenced. 3rd semester – Theme: Internship, development and business Part one: 13-week internship Start between 1 July or 1 August This theme aims to enable you to take part in the operation of companies in the service and experience industry. Part two: Development and business This theme aims to enable you to act as a discussion partner in the development of innovative plans for sustainable company and staff development in the service and experience industry. 4th semester – Theme: Development and business This theme aims to enable you to act as a discussion partner in the development of innovative plans for sustainable company and staff development in the service and experience industry. Final exam project.

During the course of the Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management programme you will acquire knowledge and competencies in management. Some will be able to take up a position as manager or mid-level manager immediately after graduation, while others may need to gain more experience in order to hold a position as manager or middle manager – this will depend on your individual profile.
