L'azienda
The Little Island is a small coastal boutique motel on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, originally built in the 1960s and left derelict for over 40 years before being carefully restored and reopened by two sisters in 2024. What began as a renovation project has evolved into a distinctive destination hospitality offering with a strong design identity and growing national profile.
We currently operate a café restaurant alongside six guest rooms, with further phased development planned to bring the property to 24 rooms in total, together with a swimming pool, sauna, and additional leisure facilities. Set within 8 acres of coastal landscape and surrounded by beaches and ancient woodland, the property combines relaxed West Cork atmosphere with thoughtful architecture, interiors, and long-term place-making.
The Little Island is a hands-on, independent hospitality project focused on creating a warm, creative, and community-connected guest experience. As we continue developing the site, we are building a team who are interested not just in operations, but in helping shape the next chapter of a unique coastal destination property.
