POSITION OVERVIEW
The Regional Director of Food &Beverage Development - Asia is part of the Global Food and Beverage Development Team. The primary function of this role is to lead the development of new and existing F&B projects, assist in creating new concepts and develop brand standards in the Asia Region. The focus of this team is to oversee all F&B development of the Aman Group strategic development of the F&B concepts.
The team develops new concepts for restaurants and bars within Aman Group. Projects are for examples re-launches to invigorate existing restaurants and F&B operations, supporting the design and technical team in both hotel openings as well as renovations in existing hotels, and developing independent restaurant brands, co-partnerships, retail, and online services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the F&B Development and projects, which includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Develop a Food & Beverage program tailored to property size, current market trends and competition.
- Create a concept description and technical brief for the F&B program.
- Generate a space requirement program for both guest and service areas.
- Manage project timelines and processes, providing timely updates on project management software.
- Conduct research on cost and price trends, proposing a comprehensive business plan.
- Establish standard guidelines for furniture, fixtures, kitchen equipment and building materials in service areas.
- Collaborate with the technical services department to strategically place F&B venues, prioritizing the guest experience.
- Work closely with a kitchen consultant to design the bar and back-of-house, optimizing operational flow, space, circulation and safety.
- Spearhead AV and IT designs, specifying equipment requirements.
- Review tender documentation and specification data sheets for back-of-house and operational equipment.
- Review specification data sheets for furniture, lighting, AV and IT equipment.
- Collaborate with the corporate pre-opening team to navigate critical paths toward the opening.
- Post-construction, identify defects and issue snag reports.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Hotel Management or Project Management or equivalent
- A track record of successfully managing multiple projects and delivering on time
- Knowledge in F&B Operational procedures, standards and culinary trends
- Proficiency to read drawings and knowledge in construction terminologies
- Excellent analytical skills and leadership qualities
- Showcasing effective decision making and strategic thinking
- Adaptable to change and mitigating risk
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills working with the team and external stakeholders such as Architects, Engineers, Construction, Development, Design, Finance, Kitchen Consultants, etc
- Attention to detail and prioritizing skills
- Open to travel and flexible to work extended hours as and when required
- Considerable experience in various levels of F&B development with design-oriented thinking
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Computer proficiency a must, with a strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and CAD
