As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a positive and welcoming experience. Your primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of guests in a restaurant or hospitality setting.

Warmly welcome guests upon arrival.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.

Reservation Management:
Manage and coordinate reservations to optimize table turnover.
Maintain an organized reservation system.

Seating Arrangements:
Seat guests according to the seating chart and guest preferences.
Balance the distribution of guests among service staff.

Customer Service:
Provide information about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Communication:
Effectively communicate with kitchen and serving staff.
Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to appropriate personnel.

Maintaining Cleanliness:
Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean and organized.
Monitor and tidy up tables as guests leave.

Coordinating with Staff:
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to manage guest flow.
Communicate any delays or special requests to the service team.

Upselling and Promotions:
Promote specials, promotions, and loyalty programs to guests.
Encourage guests to try new menu items or beverages.

Handling Waiting Lists:
Manage waiting lists during peak times.
Keep guests informed about wait times.

Cash Handling:
Handle cash transactions, if required, for reservation deposits or other related matters.
Collaborate with the cashier or management for billing and payments.

Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Customer-focused with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Organizational skills to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently.
Knowledge of basic restaurant operations and menu items.
Ability to work collaboratively with restaurant staff.
Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.

Antonia is an Italian Trattoria specializing in Pizza Al Taglio, genuine pastas and traditional main courses with an array of fine yet affordable selection of Italian beverages and Aperitivo based in Abu Dhabi.

Located in the heart of Saadiyat Island, Antonia aims to offer an idyllic experience from the streets of Rome to the Arabian Gulf with a touch of Nonna’s love. Influenced with a combination of three main drivers; Italian authenticity, modern refinement and a touch of Abu Dhabi’s glamour, the interior design boasts laid back retro vibe - steps away from Soul beach.

Hailing from Rome, Antonia al-taglio gourmet pizza slices are baked in rectangular trays, loaded with delicious toppings, displayed on the counter and sold by the square, half-tray or full-tray which allows you to choose from a selection of artisanal pizzas with your favourite combinations. The traditional street food is super versatile and can be eaten whenever and wherever you are, but always and unconditionally with your hands.

The concept, which is driven by Chef and Restaurant Owner, Simone Federici, stems from the tutelage of his grandmother who inspired him to begin his culinary career at the age of 15. Every slice of pizza has been fermented for 72 hours, made with 80% water, rustic Italian flour, olive oil, salt and a proprietary of over 50 year-old sour dough passed through generations.
