The Hotel is 10 minutes away from the “new” Grand Egyptian Museum and 15 minutes from the Great Pyramids of Giza. It is also in close proximity to Cairo International Airport and will be just 10 kilometers away from Sphinx International Airport. Business and leisure travelers can get the best of both worlds with three meeting rooms and a business center along with an outdoor pool and Club Lounge

We are currently looking for a Laundry Manager to join our amazing team at Crowne Plaza West Cairo – Arkan.

Your day-to-day:

• Possess a complete knowledge of washing, spotting, starching, dry-cleaning and pressing techniques.
• Direct laundry and uniform staff to ensure consistent supply of clean, neat and quality linens and uniforms.
• Ensure that all items laundered and dry cleaned within ihg are finished to the highest standard achievable and returned to the guests or staff in immaculate condition.
• Organize movement of dirty and clean laundry and of guest valet service.
• Ensure all damaged linen and uniforms are sent to the uniform room for repairs or discarding.
• Control and record chemical consumption and reorder as required.
• Assist in maintaining records of stock and equipment.
• Supervise all employees with Department.
• Ensure an accurate valet delivery.
• Ensure daily production records for linen and uniforms are maintained.
• Ensures that regular preventive maintenance is carried out and reduce downtime with proper coordination with the maintenance department.
• Assists in planning for future staffing needs. 
• Assists in recruiting in line with company guidelines. 
• Prepares and administers detailed induction program for new staff.
• Assists in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation.
• Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelines.
• Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
• Assists in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget.
• Controls and monitors departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget..
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with company requirements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal customers and guests in order to exceed their needs.
• Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers.
• Generate new ideas and encourage creativity from your staff.

 

What we need from you:

• Bachelor Degree
• 5+ years experience in 4/5 stars hotels( At least 2 years in managerial role)
• Strong communications skiils
• Very good command of English
