As a Junior Sous Chef at Napasai, A Belmond Hotel Koh Samui, Thailand, you are part of a team that brings culinary visions to life through immersive, unique, and hand-crafted gastronomic experiences. In this role, you will work alongside the Executive Chef and skilled colleagues to prepare the highest quality food from recipes. Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes under the direction of the Executive Chef and in collabration with the Senior Sous Chef.
  • Assisting with the preparation and execution of menus including a la carte, multi-course meals, and private service.
  • Following all established recipes, techniques, and sanitation guidelines to ensure consistent quality and safety standards.
  • Monitoring food inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues to the Executive Chef.
  • Training and supervision of the reporting team members.


What You Bring:

  • A passion for the culinary arts and delivering an excellent guest experience.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team; strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in Western Kitchen.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
  • As the primary language of communication with the Executive Chef, an intermediate level of English is essential. 
  • Ability to organize the work and to manage the team.
  • Willingness to learn, and also to develop the team.
