Your day to day

The Catering Sales Manager will build rapport with clients, qualify their needs, sell the appropriate hotel to serve their needs, book the business in the Sales and Catering systems, and confirm the sale with contracts.  They will prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and file maintenance.

This person will ensure that operations and event management have all the information needed to adequately service the group.  They will participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training, and other sales-related meetings as required.  They will work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.  They would also enjoy attending trade shows, community events, and industry meetings.

What we need from you

Interested candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a positive attitude.  This job will require mastery of the reactive and proactive sales process.  This will include qualifying group leads and closing the business, finding new business through prospecting efforts, and growing current producing accounts.  Previous Catering Sales experience is preferred.
