DIRECTOR OF SPA & WELLNESS 

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a Director of Spa & Wellness. Candidates with a passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons. As a member of the Spa team, the Director of Spa & Wellness works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

Perform operational and administrative duties for the Spa Division, which include, but not limited to, the following:     

• Develop and execute new services and programs, including projected proforma, and the design and distribution of collateral for effective marketing and sales.  Facilitate the promotion of special projects and implement the staff training necessary for their success.  
  
  
•  Establish, organize and implement the operational systems of the Spa, proactively planning for maximum efficiencies, and the realization of facility capacity.  
  
  
• Establish and manage the annual budget of the Spa and prepare analysis of monthly financial reports.  
  
  
• Participate in the hiring and training of the Spa staff, with ownership of day-to-day operation supervision.  Accountable for an annual training plan.  Assume the role of mentor and leader, necessary to empower the key support roles of the Managers.    
  
  
• Provide all Spa staff with the opportunity of on-going continuing education in the full spectrum of spa services, with active workshops designed to promote their knowledge of the guest opportunity we provide and encourage creative selling technique.  
  
  
• Organize, implement, and conduct supplier certification in fitness and treatment categories, establishing mutually supportive vendor relationships marked by efficiency and professionalism.  
  
  
• Support retail merchandising for Spa Retail and the Sports Shop in partnership with the Director of Retail.  
  
  
• Effectively communicate and coordinate operational activities with key relationships within Hualalai Resort, Club Member Services, Hualalai Villa’s and Homes, and Four Seasons.  
  
  
• Implement the high standards of service established for staff of the Spa, consistent with the overall standard of a Five Diamond/Five Star Resort.  
  
  
• Promote a warm and friendly atmosphere among staff, Club Members, hotel guests and vendors. 
  
  
• 19-treatment rooms, indoor/outdoor relaxation areas, multiple-building fitness facility, lap pool, spa retail, 60+ team members

WHAT TO BRING  

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States  
  
  
• Experience in high-end resort spa management with a minimum of 5 years' experience and a verifiable record of effective performance.   
  
  
• In-depth knowledge of Spa Operations and Development, Health, Fitness, Wellness or related fields.  
  
  
• Demonstrated leadership in the highest levels of guest and member satisfaction.  
  
  
• Experience in the buying of fitness equipment and spa therapy products, with proven success in establishing supplier relationships.  
  
  
• Excellent human relations skills.  
  
  
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.  
  
  
• Ability to set priorities and adjust to changing conditions and motivate staff to achieve goals.
