The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is looking for a Food & Beverage Operations Manager who fully embodies our values, shares a passion for excellence, and infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. As Food & Beverage Operations Manager, you will be accountable for shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service in support of our world-renowned hotel. FSNYD is recognized as a Forbes 5 Star Hotel; Forbes 5 Star Spa and AAA 5 Diamond Hotel.

This position reports to the Hotel Manager.

Responsibilities:

The F&B Operations Manager oversees all facets of the Banquets, Stewarding and IRD Department.  They are expected to  coordinate the set-up and service of all functions in the hotel.  They also coordinate, hire, train, discipline, and supervise the Banquet and IRD staff.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for an individual who poses an affinity for guest service!  You will be an experienced customer service professional with the ability to multitask, problem solve and have a passion for service and hospitality. You will be a willing team player, comfortable with computer systems as well as communicating directly with our guests and team members. We are looking for individuals who have a thorough knowledge of guest service, banquets/catering and excellent leadership skills. 

We are looking for candidates who have excellent personal presentation and strong interpersonal skills.

This position involves a heavy volume of guest contact and fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is required. The ideal candidate will also have solid food and beverage knowledge. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Applicants are required to have two to three years previous employment in a related position.  A college degree is preferred.   Prior union experience is beneficial.
