Secure rooms business for Four Seasons Resorts Thailand (including Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Tented Camp Golden Triangle) by actively engaging with B2B and B2C travel partners (under Retail, Discount and Wholesale segments) to maximize revenue/profit potential.

The candidate in this position will be based in Bangkok and reports to the Senior Director of Sales.

Basic Function:

Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure business on behalf of collection in identified emerging markets. Manage a portfolio of travel partners across the travel industry segment, ensuring no conflict with WSO efforts. Create and execute account plans with defined goals for assigned market territory. Use company wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events and reporting for business development. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including sales calls, prospecting calls and entertainment as outlined.   Generate potential P2P leads on behalf of sister properties and the company. Allocate time and resources as appropriate for account potential. Schedule activities effectively and meet deadlines. Handle sales calls and trips in a cost and time-efficient manner and within compliance of established budgets.  Track and focus on conversion to ensure hotel revenue objectives are impacted and achieved. Establish and maintain strong sales system hygiene including account creation, account traces, contact information, client email lists, bookings, etc. in accordance with Four Seasons standards. Understand and maximize the utilization of all automated sales and reservations systems (Opera) involved with corporate or travel industry business. Participate in sales meetings, pipeline meetings and leadership meetings as required. Produce monthly sales recaps of market achievement based upon marketing plan objectives.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

            Education:                 Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Experience:                3-5 years previous sales experience

Skills and Abilities:  

  • Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment.
  • Ability to attend travel-trade events as needed.
  • Sales and Catering Computer Software, MS Word, Excel.
  • While portfolio is group-driven, ability to prospect and negotiate FIT contracts when necessary will be an advantage.
  • Experience with MICE, Corporate, Diplomatic Mission segments preferred.
