Role Purpose

To work as part of the Greater China Procurement team to formulate and implement hotel procurement strategies and policy across many of categories of spend.

To work closely with the Great China HLG （Hotel lifecycle and growth） teams to establish and coordinate cross functional work groups through the Sourcing Management Process.

Typically, responsible for the MEP, FFE category to deliver the best-in-class cost competitiveness with local and global competitors.

Take leadership role in e-Procurement platform daily management and enhancement, promote to more hotels, especially for essential hotel brands, and premium hotel brands all over China.

Take the ownership of supplier performance management, coach and organize the central procurement down to hotels and collect feedback from hotels to improve the offering and service level from suppliers.

Lead “Cost to build” Category team in GC under the leadership of GC Head of procurement.

Key Accountabilities

To develop and promote solution for hotel cost to build acceleration to stakeholders, hotels, and owners, such as MEP, FFE and e-Procurement platform.
To take leadership role in the e-Procurement platform development and implementation
Direct responsibility for a portfolio of hotel FFE, MEP product and service categories and supplier relationships
To adopt the Sourcing Management Process as a structured approach to ascertain the category strategies for their area of responsibility.
To work in a way that positively engages the support of stakeholders using problem solving, change management and proactive communication skills.
To work with cross functional teams to create the category procurement strategies, to deliver both quick win and long-term cost competitiveness solution/ offering.
To personally and proactively manage all aspects of the request for proposal, negotiation and contracting.
To proactively manage all aspects of the implementation of new agreements, including the exit and entry of suppliers.
To ensure that all supplier relationships are set up for future success, with a focus on continual improvement.
To expand central procurement coverage to more categories to better support hotel construction
To manage suppliers’ relationship & performance
To lead the procurement team to enhance the execution power of central procurement.
To coach and work with procurement service team to create compelling offers to deliver best value for our hotels and owners
To work closely with D&E for MEP and FF&E national solution
Take initiatives in Global projects or cross-regional projects to build global hotel supply chain solution.
To support Business Partner for the enhancement and improvement of hotel procurement PIP
Develop team capability and support people development.

Key Skills & Experiences

Required Skills

Competent in Sourcing Management Process, including analytics, RFP process, negotiation and contracting.
Knowledge of hotel spending categories especially for MEP and FFE
Good communication skills, can manage cross function teams through complex projects to ensure the right outcome, change management.
Good presentation skills and analytical skills
High quality skills in project management and planning
High quality skills in priority management and time management
Solid finance knowledge
Solid contract knowledge
Coaching skills to develop team.

Qualifications

An engineering-based bachelor's degree or above

Experience

10+ years minimum in a front-line procurement role, preferably in a large blue-chip organization.
5+ years manager level
