Lungarno Collection is pleased to share an exciting opportunity for a talented IT Technical Supervisor to join our Corporate Team, based in Florence. The IT Technical Supervisor will be part of the IT Department at the Corporate Office and will report directly to the IT Corporate Director. The role will be responsible for:
· Managing, monitoring, and maintaining physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux)
· Administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and email systems
· Managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures
· Providing second-level technical support for hardware/software issues
· Overseeing security management and the implementation of policies and updates
· Managing technical documentation and updating the IT inventory
· Supporting migration, upgrade, or new technology implementation projects
· Managing technological projects (budget, timelines) in coordination with site managers, including:
· Maintenance and technology upgrades of the hotel network
· Maintenance and upgrades of Active Directory
· Maintenance and upgrades of local servers and network infrastructure (wired and wireless)
Additionally, the IT Technical Supervisor will:
· Support compliance with PCI, GDPR, and other local legal/financial/regulatory standards
· Verify endpoint patching (security)
· Ensure completion and proper logging of the daily/weekly/monthly IT checklist at each property
· Be available to travel up to 20% of the time
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar IT role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Good knowledge of physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux)
- Strong understanding of network systems (wired and wireless) and troubleshooting skills (Meraki, Fortinet, WatchGuard, Ruckus, Aruba)
- Proficient in Microsoft Server operating systems (including Active Directory); experience supporting desktop operating systems (Windows and macOS), mobile apps, O365 suite, and security/antivirus management tools
- Good knowledge of VMWare
- Some experience in development, integration, and troubleshooting of system integrations (flat files, APIs), with focus on security, performance, and error management
- Knowledge of GDPR (hospitality sector experience is a plus) and IT security procedures
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Experience in creating business cases is a plus
- Strong team player
- Attention to detail and customer/guest-oriented mindset
- Required languages: Italian and English
- Technical knowledge of hotel systems and operations (Oracle Opera, Oracle Simphony Cloud, Navision, Flexkeeping, Canary) and certifications from Microsoft or Oracle will be considered a plus
