We are a dynamic kitchen at Vinterhagen restaurant, the greenest place on Svalbard, located within Mary Ann's Hotel.
We specialize in Arctic cuisine with a focus on unique ingredients like seal, reindeer, and whale. If you are ready to embrace a challenging, fast-paced environment, we want you on our team.
The Role
We are looking for a Chef to support our kitchen team, focusing on dinner service, with flexibility to help with lunch and breakfast when needed. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, is comfortable working with limited resources, and is passionate about working with Arctic ingredients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals, focusing on dinner service.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Assist with menu preparation and develop dishes featuring Arctic ingredients like seal, reindeer, and whale.
- Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are met at all times.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a chef (previous experience with Arctic or Scandinavian cuisine is a plus).
- Ability to work efficiently in a hectic, high-pressure kitchen
- Adaptable and comfortable working with limited resources
- Strong focus on food safety and cleanliness
- Fluent English + Scandinavian language is a plus
- Lingua richiesta: Inglese. Bokmål, norvegese è un plus
