Be limitless
Developing corporate, agency MICE and leisure accounts in the Netherlands. That is what you take care of. You support the account and sales managers in their work and actively cultivate the market for our hotel. You do this by visiting (potential) accounts and distributing information about our facilities and packages. You also determine pricing details and write the necessary cost estimates and quotations. Everything to give the customer the best possible image of Mövenpick and to ensure more bookings by customers. This also means that you are sometimes at trade fairs and on the road to customers within our country borders. Sometimes with a gift and sometimes for a good conversation. There are no limits to your abilities. In addition, you will be:
  • developing and acquiring new account MICE & corporate accounts;
  • corporate contracting and RFP handling;
  • making sure to achieve the revenue targets;
  • retaining customers and maximizing the revenue from the existing accounts;
  • contributing to the Sales plans;
  • attending relevant workshops, tradeshows and promotion activities to present our Mövenpick and IJVENUES brand;
  • make correct reports and analysis regarding the sales activities;
  • keeping the CRM system up to date with activity/opportunity management;
  • hosting site inspections;
  • organizing or part take in multiple yearly sales blitz;
  • working closely with the Conference & Events team together when it comes to converting MICE leads.

In this position, you will work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

Your sales and marketing team consists of about 17 to 20 people and your sub-team of 4 to 5 people. Every month you sit down with your manager and talk about personal and work-related matters. You will work in a hotel that works together with the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, a total combined conference space of over 1900 m2, including 11 modern and spacious conference and directors’ rooms. Through the emergence of ijVENUES, Amsterdam’s new exhibition centre, everything only becomes bigger and better. On a lovely, sunny day, you can choose between a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute cycle ride from the central station. Or you can hop on the tram from the other side of our hotel. In short: we have it all.

Don’t work. Do what you love instead
You have a bubbly personality full of enthusiasm and drive. You don’t just talk about action, but actually dare to take the steps. You like to work within a team and take ownership, with persuasiveness you know how to drag others along in your enthusiasm. You are not afraid to engage, dare to take responsibility and have a natural talent for networking. Market research and analytical thinking? That’s a plus, because we like people who not only see opportunities, but also know how to seize them. You must have:
  • at least 1 year of experience in Sales and preferably in a hotel;
  • fluent written and spoken knowledge of the English language, and preferably the Dutch language as well.

Of course, we want you to have an optimal experience at Mövenpick. That’s why we are offering:
  • a monthly gross salary of between €2.732 and €3.397 in accordance with scale 7 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry;
  • a contract of 38 hours per week;
  • 25 leave days and time off for any overtime;
  • extra day off during your birthday month;
  • a travel allowance up to €200 per month, on the basis of the actual number of kilometres;
  • a night-shift allowance of 20% and a Sunday allowance of 5%;
