Barista

Café du Parc is a thriving café and bar in the centre of Killarney. It is part of the Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa. It is open 7 days/nights per week serving breakfast, lunch and a wide range of beverages, with entertainment on weekends. It serves a wide variety of guests from locals to international visitors. The café was fully refurbished recently and it offers a relaxed setting for socialising.

We are seeking an experienced full-time Barista to join the team within Café du Parc. The candidate will be required to work a range of shifts, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities of this role are:
* Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffees and beverages to a consistently high standard
* Maintain excellent knowledge of the menu, including seasonal offerings and upselling opportunities
* Ensure the coffee station and service areas are clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times
* Deliver warm, friendly, and attentive service to create a memorable guest experience
* Handle cash and card transactions accurately in line with company procedures
* Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and end-of-day cleaning
* Support the wider café and bar team during busy periods as required
* Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors
* Follow all health, safety, and food safety procedures in accordance with company policies
* Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the brand standards of Café du Parc and Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa

The ideal candidate for this position:
* Experience in a similar environment is necessary
* Barista training/qualification is required
* Excellent customer service skills
* A good attitude and friendly manner
* Be able to work under pressure in a busy environment
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Fluent English
