Job Summary:

As the Overnight Resort Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the resort’s operations, ensuring the continuation of the exceptional service our guests expect. Your responsibilities will include leading the overnight team and managing guest services.

A little bit about your day:

Reporting to the Director of Guest Experience, every day is different, but you will mostly:

  • Promote Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes. 
  • Manage and supervise all overnight operations of the resort, including front office, security, housekeeping, engineering, kitchen, and in-room dining. 
  • Ensure that all guests receive personalized, attentive service that exceeds expectations.
  • Lead and supervise all resort disciplines during overnight hours, ensuring seamless and efficient operation. 
  • Conduct nightly shift briefings with all colleagues on the overnight shift.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for any guest-related matters, resolving them quickly and discreetly with the utmost care and professionalism. 
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
  • Oversee maintenance and cleanliness standards throughout the resort, with attention to detail.
  • Conduct regular inspections with the overnight cleaners to uphold property cleanliness standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the daytime leadership team to ensure continuity of operations and seamless transitions between shifts.
  • Complete the Overnight Manager’s checklist.
  • Welcome guests with sophistication, ensuring a seamless and memorable arrival experience.
  • Oversee and assist with the arrival and departure experience, focusing on attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure personalized and anticipatory service for all guests. Attentively carry out guest preferences by following internal communication methods.
  • Enter all guest requests and preferences in the KYC system and follow up accordingly.
  • Ensure completion of all guest requests promptly and follow up with necessary departments.
  • Respond to all guest text messages, emails (internal and external), and other forms of communication accurately and promptly using proper grammar.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain service standards aligned with Forbes Five-Star Standards.
  • Assist guests with information about local attractions, dining options, and other concierge services. 
  • Conduct night audit procedures to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and room inventories.
  • Prepare daily reports for the next day’s operation.
  • Maintain cash bank, immediately reporting any overages or shortages.
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures and credit card transactions are accurately processed.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to ensure that all colleagues deliver exceptional service and adhere to resort policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of all departments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement and hold colleagues accountable for department standards, resort policies, and procedures. 
  • Participate in staff interviews, training sessions, and evaluations.
  • Monitor time clock entries and labor reports, resolving any discrepancies.


What We need from you:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role at a luxury hotel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and skills for taking initiative, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritizing.
  • Passionate about hospitality and providing an outstanding guest experience.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.


What you can expect from us: 

The annual pay range for this role is  $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 . This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at  Regent Santa Monica Beach . This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A colleague’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that is allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
