F&B Management Intern

Rivertrees Country Inn is looking for a Hospitality Student to take on the role of a Food and beverage Management Intern. The Management Intern will be responsible for coordinating activities between Restaurant, bar, Kitchen and Stores.

The Inter will be required to assist in management of F & B operations with the ultimate objective of delivering an excellent guest experience. The Intern will be asked to forecast,plan and manage F&B orders, staff and finances, as well as coordinating group meeting,incentive,conference and event functions held in the hotel. The intern will be expected to assist in the review, development and training of Standard Operating Procedures, controls and reporting.

Major Responsibilities
• Assist in managing F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest
standards.
• Menu analysis, planning and pricing
• Analysis of Food & Beverage prices in relation to competition.
• Identifying customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns.
• Development and review of department control procedures.
• Work with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling
procedures.
• Oversee periodic stock take and inventory controls.
• Liaise with group meetings/ banquet planners for their specific group requirements with the
services & facilities offered.
• Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures.
• Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership and accountability environment
with emphasis on motivation and teamwork.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and provide report to management regarding sales results and productivity
