POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper or the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Intern supports the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department. The intern contributes to delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with the hotel's standards.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Rooms and Public Areas

• Assist in the cleaning and preparation of occupied and departure rooms in compliance with the hotel's cleanliness and hygiene standards;
• Replenish guest rooms with linen, guest amenities, and consumable supplies;
• Check the overall condition of guest rooms (lighting, plumbing fixtures, bedding, furniture, etc.) and report any maintenance issues;
• Assist in cleaning and organizing public areas, corridors, pantries, and Housekeeping storage areas.

Department Operations

• Receive and sort clean linen and coordinate the handling of soiled linen with the laundry department or external laundry provider;
• Assist in preparing housekeeping carts for Room Attendants;
• Participate in inventories of housekeeping supplies, amenities, and operating equipment.

Quality Assurance

• Strictly comply with hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures;
• Contribute to maintaining the hotel's presentation standards, including bed making, linen presentation, and the proper placement of guest amenities;
• Promptly report lost-and-found items or any incidents to the Executive Housekeeper.

Human Resources

• Build and maintain open, collaborative, and effective working relationships with all team members;
• Complete all mandatory internal training sessions and Marriott International online training programs;
• Consistently comply with the hotel's and/or the group's policies, standards, and operating procedures;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Team player with a positive attitude, energy, and punctuality;
• Strong service and guest-oriented mindset;
• Adaptability and flexibility;
• Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure;
• Responsive and proactive;
• Good command of spoken and written English;
• Knowledge of a third language is an asset;
• Professional grooming and appearance at all times.
