JOB SUMMARY

The Talent & Culture Manager - AMER is primarily responsible for managing Human Resources functions for corporate associates in the Americas region including benefits and compensation administration, systems management, compliance in addition to providing Human Resources generalist support to the corporate offices and hotel Talent & Culture teams within the region. This position will be based in Los Angeles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Benefits and Compensation Administration

• Serve as a point of contact for benefit brokers and carriers to property administer benefit plans.

• Plan and execute annual benefit open enrollment for corporate associates and U.S. Hotels.

• Assist new associates with benefit enrollment and existing associates with life event enrollment.

• Ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act.

• Ensure compliance with annual 401k non-discrimination testing, 5500 filing and all other required reporting of 401k retirement plan information for U.S. based corporate and property associates.

• Process benefit invoices for timely payment in purchasing system.

• Coordinate the Wellness program for U.S. Corporate and regional sales offices.

• Manage the International benefit plans within the region.

• Administer and track associate Leaves of Absence.

• Serve as point of contact for associate travel and hotel room night benefit program.

• Prepare reports in terms of salary administration, history records, data comparison, bonus plan etc.

• Participate in negotiations with brokers on benefit offerings that are competitive and cost effective in the market. Explore creative and relevant enhancements to benefit offerings.

• Ensure compliance with all required reporting of compensation information (ie Pay Transparency)

II. HRIS

• Point of contact for all Talent & Culture Human Resources Information System and Benefits Administration System (HRIS).

• Ensure ongoing maintenance and updates of associate records in HRIS to ensure accuracy of information.

• Generate and route Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) for approval to support changes made in HRIS.

• Serve as liaison to payroll to ensure HRIS is accurately and timely updated for payroll processing and supporting documentation has been submitted and approved.

• Review and approve payroll pre-check reports for accuracy each pay period.

III. HR Generalist & Administrative Support

• Drive the Rosewood Hotel Group “The Calling” culture ensuring our guiding philosophy, vision, pillars and values are enlivened throughout the organization. Prepare Weekly Calling meeting document.

• Ensure all communication materials adhere to brand standards.

• Provide administrative support including maintaining personnel files, responding to employment verification inquiries and unemployment claims.

• Conduct onboarding of new associates ensuring all required policies are signed off, forms are completed and set up is correct in HRIS/Payroll system.

• Conduct offboarding of departing associates ensuring all forms are complete, final payment is coordinated with payroll and records and systems access are updated.

• Partner with payroll to ensure proper documentation is submitted and approved for associate changes such as transfers/promotion, increases, incentive pay-outs, etc.

• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements specifically related to labor and employment law.

• Point of contact for Talent & Culture vendors and adherence to company purchasing and invoice payment policies and practices.

• Point of contact for all Talent & Culture systems including Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Learning Management System (LMS).

• Support Talent & Culture and company projects & initiatives as assigned by Corporate Director and/or Vice President of Talent & Culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Hospitality Management or related discipline.

Experience

• 5+ years Human Resources experience ideally with a multi-site business and key success in change management.

• Broad Human Resources generalist experience with emphasis on Compensation & Benefits, HRIS maintenance/implementation, Development and Organization Design.

This position is open to candidates based in Los Angeles, CA. This position will be onsite at our West Hollywood Corporate office 3 days per week. The salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of experience, location, and education.
