Job Description

Maintain a safe and secure environment for all guest and employees and protect all assets of the hotel and assure compliance with our policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

  •     Screen all employees, guest and visitors using the employee entrance.
  •     Locate and identify safety hazards and security breaches within the hotel.
  •     Monitor electronic surveillance equipment as needed to observe all activity within all property areas.
  •     Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner.
  •     Use proper radio communication procedures.
  •     Patrol and observe all activities within the property.
  •     Report and investigate any occurrence or incidents within the hotel.
  •     Assure that key control procedures are strictly enforced.
  •     Complete reports, forms and documentation.
  •     Maintain confidentiality of information regarding employees, guest or incidents.
  •     Maintain a professional image and demeanor.
  •     Assure that only authorized hotel property or packages leave the hotel via the employee entrance. Inspect all packages, purses, etc., as needed.

    Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Technical Skills -

    Good communication skills.
    Able to answer phones with positive attitude and disposition.
    Able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.

Education or Certification -


    High school diploma or equivalent

Language -

    Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred

Physical Requirements

     Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, stand, walk and sit for long periods. reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
