We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager, IT Projects (New Hotel Opening), to assist in planning, executing, and finalizing new hotel and renovation projects.

As an Assistant Manager, IT Projects (New Hotel Opening),we will rely on you to:

  • Manage IT infrastructure project deliverables by prioritizing, tracking, requirement collection, progress monitoring and deployment.
  • Assist in leading the development and deployment of new technology such as Smart Hotel, Internet Service in new and existing projects.
  • Assist to keep the IT SOP, Design Standards for all hotels and projects up to date.
  • After consultation with other departments in the Corporate Office, assist to develop project specific briefs for each project based on the design standards and hotel specific requirements.
  • Assist in technical design of all IT related areas such as Smart Hotel, Internet Service, IT infrastructure, structured cabling system, PABX system.
  • Assist to complete IT budgeting in association with Procurement Department. Be responsible for the overall IT project budget management, including the review of purchase requests submitted by the hotel to ensure the requested items are within budget.
  • Assist to prepare and review the IT related RFPs and evaluate the bids received and give recommendation in vendor selection.
  • Assist to manage the IT project critical path and monitor the progress of all projects related activities to ensure that all the defined project objectives are met.
  • Provide regular project status update report to management and project sponsor.
  • Conduct site inspections for work quality review and maintain close communications with the various project related parties (both internal and external) to ensure all project related issues are promptly rectified and project changes are effectively managed.
  • Maintain regular liaison with all the user departments within the Corporate Office to ensure and update on the necessary requirements to be in place for operating the Hotel.
  • Train Hotel IT Manager with the proposed IT Infrastructure for the Hotel and the latest corporate IT standards.
  • Responsible to do a proper project handover to Hotel IT team.
  • Responsible to do a post-implementation review of the project to share the lesson learns and give recommendation for improvement.
  • Perform duties and special projects as assigned by the Head of Enterprise & Application.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • Degree in Information Technology or related fields is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a project management capacity. Experience in all aspects of new hotel opening process development and execution is preferred
  • Requires 3 years working experience in network design
  • Experience in Wireless technology and cabling design
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience in PMO operation will be an advantage
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies applicable to the hotel industry
