Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities          

  • To own and achieve the revenue budget of the Hotel along with the General Manager.

  • To co-ordinate and develop various sales and marketing initiatives of the hotel.

  • Responsible for the outbound business of the accounts managed towards other hotels.



   Customer  

  • Build relationships, network & maintain regular contacts with corporate and key individual customers, bookers, decision makers and hoteliers.

  • Build an accurate and effective database of current and potential guests/accounts in order to orient targeted sales efforts in accordance with the S&M plan.

  • Identify key customer needs & secure feedback through sales calls & meetings and take actionable steps in coordination with support of respective functions.



  Systems and Procedures  

  • Developing and implementing sales plan to increase sales, customer retention etc.

  • Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction.

  • To produce daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly MIS as needed.

  • To implement effective filing and lead tracking systems within the sales department in order to minimize response times and maximize conversion.

  • Daily brief and debrief of the sales calls, breakfast meetings, tele calls with periodic reviews and guidance of the direct reports

  • Co-ordinate with the Front Office regarding daily sales, VIPs, regulars and other guest requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date information on competition’s performance, sales & marketing strategy etc.



  Learning & Development   

  • To have product knowledge of hotels.

  • Be informed about the trends in hospitality and other innovation, changing customer needs and behavior, and developments in other industries



   Revenue   

  • Handle key accounts for the hotel and maximize revenue generation from these accounts.

  • Assist in preparation of revenue budgets for the hotel.

  • Ensure hotel meets or exceeds budgeted goals.

  • Be responsible for the outbound business of the accounts managed towards other TAJ hotels

  • Assist in designing and developing the sales & marketing plan for the unit.

  • Monitor competition pricing activities, Hotel BOB & track events to ensure proper and timely inputs to revenue management team.

  • Co-ordinate with the Accounts dept on credit limits and outstanding from various guests/corporate and to ensure, timely collection of all outstanding dues from designated companies.

  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)



Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess Post Graduation.

  • Atleast minimum 3 to 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
